Division Philanthropy Initiative:
Radiation Oncology Patient and Staff Education and Support Fund

This fund will be established to support educational opportunities for non-physician staff as well as appreciation activities and unmet staff needs that arise from financial hardship. The ongoing education and training of staff will ensure they can achieve excellence in their profession, continue to innovate and implement best practices in the field of radiation oncology throughout AHN Cancer Institute. Additionally, it will also support patient needs that are not covered by other sources that arise from treatment. Examples of the types of expenses this fund will support include but are not limited to:

• Educational opportunities for non-physician staff such as trainings, conferences, annual department meeting related expenses (i.e. outside speakers, etc.)
• Staff appreciation activities including awards and events.
• Staff needs that arise from financial hardship such as tuition assistance, etc.
• Patient assistance such as travel expenses for treatment, lodging, medicines/medical co-pays, food and non-medical supplies, etc.
