Bartlett Cancer Research Fund

David L. Bartlett, MD is an internationally recognized cancer researcher and a pioneer in the use of highly advanced surgical therapies for abdominal cancers. Dr. Bartlett began serving as Chair of AHN Cancer Institute (AHN CI) in spring of 2020 and in this role, he has set a bold and clear vision for the Cancer Institute, taking it to new heights in cancer care and research.

Major philanthropic resources will be needed to bring this vision to reality and a significant focus will be on advancing highly innovative and strategic research initiatives that are aimed at developing novel, less invasive, and more effective therapies for patients. Susan and David Bartlett MD’s professional and personal dedication to and passion for the continuous improvement of cancer care was demonstrated through their leadership gift to establish the Susan J. and David L. Bartlett, MD Cancer Research Fund (The Bartlett Cancer Research Fund).

The Bartlett Cancer Research Fund will support innovative cancer research that will be translated into new ways to treat cancer, particularly some of the rarest types, as well as to create a catalyst for fundraising to secure the ongoing major support needed to fuel this complex and costly research. This fund will support AHN CI’s comprehensive research goals and includes but is not limited to the following types of needs:

• Research equipment, technology, and supplies;
• Recruitment of clinicians, researchers and staff;
• Basic, clinical and translational research studies
